Auction prices are often higher than part-exchange prices This surprises many people but there is a simple explanation.

Why selling by auction can result in higher price for your vehicle
Most cars taken in part-exchange by main dealers will not be sold on the garage’s own forecourt. Instead, they will either be sent to be sold by auction or sold to a car trader.
Understandably, the main dealer does not want to lose money when buying your car and will usually offer you a conservative price.
Many of these cars go on to sell for higher prices at auction.

So, what's the best option for selling your car or van?
If you are buying a new car, by all means ask the garage for their best part-ex price. But then give us a call, and we can let you know if we think we could achieve a higher price in our auction.
This will often be the case. Remember, you can set your reserve price at the part-ex offer if you like—this makes sure you can only win!
Once you have sold your car at auction and have the money in your bank, you are in a good position to negotiate the best price on your next car without the complication of a part-exchange.
You will find the garages are usually very happy with this, too.

Great company. Car sold straight away, payment received just 48 hours later. Most painless car sale I’ve ever had and was sold for the right price.
