Guidance and Checklist
Please read the guidance and checklist below carefully to ensure that your ‘check-out’ process from the property you are occupying is conducted efficiently.
It is in your interest to leave the property clean and tidy. Failure to do so may result in charges being levied against you.

If applicable, the garden should be left in a neat, tidy, and good seasonal condition, and the lawns should be recently mowed. The patio, if applicable, should be cleaned and free of weeds and moss. Also, where pets have been allowed in the property, any animal excrement must be removed. | |

Interior window frames and ledges must be wiped clean throughout the property. | |
Ceilings and walls should be cobweb-free | |
All washable walls should be washed down and left dirt, dust and stain-free. | |
Skirting boards should be washed over and dust-free. | |
If you have made any holes in the walls, then please fill the holes and paint. Please contact us if you require the paint colour, and we can request this from your landlord. | |
Carpets are to be vacuumed and professionally cleaned if required or stated in your tenancy agreement, and receipts are provided to the agents or inventory clerk. | |

The kitchen floor is to be swept and washed. | |
All wooden furniture is to be dust-free and polished if required. | |
The cooker is to be cleaned thoroughly with oven cleaner. Do not forget the shelves in the oven, the glass door, the grill pan and the oven trays. | |
Microwave, if applicable, to be cleaned on the inside and outside. | |
If applicable, refrigerators should be defrosted, cleaned, and wiped out. The door must be left open, and the appliance switched off. | |
The bath, WC, shower screens, bidets, wash hand basins, and kitchen sinks must be cleaned, and if necessary, any limescale deposits removed. | |
Insides of cupboards and drawers must be cleaned, particularly in kitchens. | |
The washing machine soap dispenser must be washed and the filter cleaned, if applicable. | |
All lampshades are to be dust-free. All bulbs are to be replaced where necessary. | |
All rubbish and food must be removed from the property or garden and placed in the dustbin provided for collection. | |
All keys must be returned to Hobbs Parker’s office at the time and date stated. | |
All of your items should be completely removed from the property. (Unless by prior agreement with Hobbs Parker or the landlord) | |
Cesspits are to be emptied, and the receipt supplied to Hobbs Parker or the landlord. | |
Chimneys are to be swept as stated in your tenancy agreement, and receipts/certificates are provided to Hobbs Parker or the inventory clerk. | |
Fireplaces and wood burners are to be swept and free of ash. |
